The April "Umbrella" Check: Every spring, walk the perimeter of your home and look for small, grey, golf-ball-sized nests under your eaves. Removing these safely in April prevents a 500-wasp colony in July.
Don't Plug the Hole: If you see wasps flying into a gap in your siding or brick, never seal it shut with caulk or foam. This forces the colony to find a new exit—which is usually inside your living room or attic. Call us to treat the void first.
The "Shadow" Test: If you see a large, papery nest hanging from a tree, stay back at least 20 feet. Bald-faced hornets are extremely territorial and can track "shadows" or movement from a distance. If you can see the nest clearly, you are likely already within their strike zone.
